Table 5.6 contains the information needed to calculate the career FABA for Cobb. As before, the most reliable way to compute the career FABA is to first compute adjusted hits by multiplying each single-season FABA by the number of at bats. The career FABA is then obtained by dividing the total adjusted hits by total at bats (with longevity adjustment also applied, if necessary). Cobb’s career FABA is .340.
